My passion for Cubism compelled me to stay within the Cubist paradigm as the fundamental structure. I strive to capture the qualities that make Cubist art attractive in my own work and have personalized it with my perception. I work intuitively. My art pieces begin with no pre-conceived subject matter. My fascination towards Cubist masters’ paintings resulted in self study of Cubism that had heavily influenced my approach in art today. While I bring Cubist paradigm as the foundation in my work, I consider the painting is not done until I see elements of both ambiguity and movement. My early artwork is mostly in oil. Later I began exploring in mixed media on wood panels. Intrigued by the metaphor of the mixed media, it serves well as the departure of my imagination.
